It gets a little complicated, because Lincoln used the Continental on some sedans beginnig in 1959, and usually (but not always) restricted the Mark name for two-door personal luxury coupes. By 1980, the squared off sedans were called own cars. Town Car previously had been the top trim level on the sedan, with big Lincoln two-doors called Town Coupes.

The downsized, Fox-based sedans that dowed in the 1980s sold between 21,000 and 25,000 each year during its run.

the mark lincolns were always 2 door as far as l know. the continentals were popular because of the suicide doors. l would be really interested in seeing a pictiure of your lincoln. l think you will find that your lincoln is a 4 dr. continental. either way it will become a classic and collectors item because people are running buying those little death traps because of the gas prices. please contact me mike

The Mk V l is the only one of the series that came as a 4 door model. They are wonderful cars and l am sure will be valuable to collectors in the near future.

l do not think there is much chance those will ever be worth anything. Just my opinion. The Mark V l was not very tasteful, and in a 4-door, it was just not very attractive.

l do not understand why people who do not even know what your car is would respond to this question. What is the point of that?
