I am pregnant and l already paid to have a hose patched. The compressor was making a noise but at least it worked. Today it went out, and l really just wanna sell it ASAP, before the baby comes. How much do you think the labor and compressor would cost roughly?? Because if l leave it broken i will never sell it.
ok so i've been reading other questions and this is my theory...lol
When l had the hose fixed the mechanic said that due to the loud noise from the compressor it would eventually go out and i'd have to pay him to replace it. But when l had the bumper fixed at Service King the nice guy said it is just the back suspension that is bad. So i'm taking even if it has a noise the compressor is still good, and it is just a leak again. l also read that l can fix the noise in the compressor for around $100. Leads me to believe that the shady mechanic doesnt want me to know that, and just want is me to fix the compressor and did a bad job fixing my leak. So can the noise be fixed?? 8 months pregnant, really need to sell this piece of shit, i'm only asking $6,000 but with that noise it will never happen.It has a sunroof woodd grain thru out the car so l do not think it is unreasonable.

In this economy, it maybe quicker to fix the vehicle rather than try to sell it. If it got 30 mpg, it would be a different story. Anyway, figure about $160 for the part and around 2 hours labor to replace.
