ABS normally means it' within your brake systems -make sure you check your pad, rotors. Also do not forget to check your brake fluid level. Now when it goes beyond this you can begin to spend too much money guessing what the problem is. Get ur car a diagnostic to get right to the problem. good luck

More than likely a front wheel bearing just starting to go. Common problem..The bearing is not worn enough to cause running problems, but enough for an ABS tonewheel to move away from the sensor causing a false activation of the system. A diagnostic code reading will tell you which wheel it is.

Yes, l know exactly what u r referring to as l have had the same problem with my 1992 Town Car. Rest assured it is only a sensor malfunction & can be very easily bypassed by simply removing the large square ABS fuse which is located in the plastic fuse box in the engine compartment. l believe it is the first fuse (diagram is on owners manual & often on fuse box cover) Just pull it out & the system will revert to non- ABS operation. This is just fine for the car & will not cause any operational problems. You will know the system has been deactivated as the orange light on the left side of the dash will glow steady after u pull the fuse. Good Luck!
