More than likely you have one if not all of the following problems. A dirty mass air flow sensor, a dirty throttle body, or a bad idle air control valve.

Ok l got a 2000 Continental. Same Problem. It is the throttle take into the Dealership wont cost much to fix. If you Live In NJ or SE PA tell me send ya to my Grandfathers place. In Lawrenceville.

try cheking for a vacuum leak, this will cause it

if not take it to the dealer this sometimes is hard to fix the first time..
