I've been looking at used Lincoln LSs. How come the 2000-2001 is are so inexpensive? I've found some that are $4000-$5000 fully loaded. l know that most have V8 is and are not so good on gas mileage but l did find a few V6 isthat are still very inexpensive. Can someone explain this to me?

It has a high cost of ownership.

They're just unreliable with very, very expensive Jaguar S-type parts. When something goes wrong, it is very expensive to fix it.

l think it is because the design and electronic gizmos in the dash was a drawback because of electrical problems. l had a 2001 and had good luck with it. as long as you take care of them they are somewhat reliable.

The v8 mileage is bad. l sold my 2001 ls and bought a MK-Z mainly because of the poor MPG. The trans gave out completely 3 days before the end of the warranty!(God is merciful) It would have been 3200 to repair.
had no problems wit electronics.
If you get one with over 45000 miles and nothing major has broken, it should be ok.

l recently was looking for the same car -only for the looks -and damn it is pretty when it is shined up on a full tank of government (gas-lol). but seriously here in cleveland, OH all prices have went to rape mode. When l did research on the Loncoln LS it was rated low & the gas was no joke. Now repairs -do not want to imagine l never owned a Jag or Range Rover so would l want to pay them prices for repair -backyard repairmen would not be an option unless u want to spend more money for his problem he will create plus the original problem -do not fool with it unless u have the cash for it.
