Looking to buy one so l am curious about mpg.

the 69 lincoln only came with a 460 cu.in. 4bbl carb-that baby will out run and out pass anything on the highway-------except a gas station, seriously tho-drive it like most people drive and you will get 10-14 mpg in the city and 13-16 on the highway just depends how many times you open up the secondaries.

14 mpg in the city-19 on hyway. plus the 462 engine was built 2 take high octane leaded gas which has dissappeared. the engine has a habit of pinging when running along.even with octane booster you add 2 the gas does not help much.i currently own a 1957 lincoln premier 2 door hardtop with a 368 cu inch engine. the unleaded gas does not bother it much thankfully because it weighs about 2 ton. if you want email ,me back at mike7steeves.ca. l love these cars. happy motoring. m.s
