My 1982 lincoln mark VI wont start

l have replaced the battery,all battery cables(positive cable to solenoid, positive cable from solenoid to starter, Negative cable), Solenoid.Cleaned all connections.Im thinking its the starter.
When l turn the key it justs clicks!!
l have taped on the starterand it turned over when l turned the car off would not start again.just clicking!!

l would check to see if the distributer is moving take off the cap and see if the rotor moves if not it could be your timing belt

If you're sure you have a good ground from the block to the frame..it is the starter.

if you have replaced the solenoid then do the starter its nothing to do with the distributor it would turn over even if your timing chain was broke so ignore that stupid person that said that.
