My Check Engine light came on and while l was driving the car turned off. The steering well locked up, but the radio was still on. l had to put in park and turn it back on. It cranked back up just fine though. It is a Town Car.
l know l did not put the car in park. The steering wheel locked up when the car turned off.

l have a ninety three and the light has been coming on and turning off for five years.. for that to lock up you had to turn the key or put in park by accident. the only way the wheel can lock up you have to place the transmission contrrol in park no other way.. ok..
