New starter, battery 100% charge & alternator in good shape. When l turn the ignition key nothing happen, it seems like the power goes to ground.

inspect starter relay

you probably have left a wire loose or the starter you bought is not any good,i have seen that happen a few times here lately,re-built parts are only as good as the person who rebuilds them, and they can be bad, check all the wires that go to the starter really good you,ll probably find one off or loose, and if not,you probably got a bad stater, good luck with it.

It is less likely that the battery charge is ''going to ground'' (as this is 500+ amps for at least a few seconds, from a battery that size, so any short to ground is going to get massive hot & dramatic immediately) than it is that the battery voltage is being interrupted from going to the starter by a bad starter solenoid, or a bad cable in the hot side of the circuit. Probably a 90% chance it is a bad soleniod. But, in a car of that age, start carefully checking all cables & connections, inch by inch, from the battery positive post to the starter. Even a couple ohms of electrical resistance at a dirty connection is enough to cause failure to start issues.

Check the park/neutral saftey switch they're touchy on the early navigators

THERES A SOL ON FIREWALL=CHECK IT OUT
TURN KEY ON IN PARK AND JUMP 2 BIG STUDS ON SOL
IT SHOULD START
'IF IT DOES GET NEW ONE

sounds like the starter relay. easy to test. remove the cover(black cover near the battery on the firewall). it has three prongs. one is full time power one is switched power & one is signal(the little one is signal). first check the signal prong. u can dlo this by jumping it to full time power. if it starts then it is good & u r not getting signal. if it does not start. then jump the 2 big prongs together. if it starts then u have a bad relay. if not then either a bad starter(gotten a few bad right out of the box) or poor connections.

quick simple way to check all the suggestions is first put it in neutral and also watch the lights in side the vehicle see what happens when you turn it to start position. If the lights dim when ignition is in start position its probably your starter if nothing happens at all its probably the relay.
