l wanna buy a Lincoln Ls, maybe a 2000 or 2001. Is there anyone who owns one or has owned one? Are they good cars? l did some reading and it seems this is car that always needs some kind of repair.

l have a Lincoln ls v8 & its one of the best cars l ever owned. l was looking for a American car that had a good engine & had some luxury. but what really turned me on was the way it drove. it drove like it it was on rails on curves. what l found out about the car is that its really a jaguar!!!! in the underbody but not at a jaguar price!!! if u had to buy the car as a jaguar youed have to take it to a jagaur dealer to get it fixed.if ur reading consumer reports..most cars in those reports r like any other car.some r good & some r bad. go to msn.com the auto section & read what the people have to say about the car. l will get it & email me if u have questions.

well l work on them all the time. window regulators break all the time. problems with the airbag system. they all seem to rattle real bad. valve covers leak and burn out the coils on the V8. that said the V8 LS is a blast to drive. fast and corners well . the new t-bird is basically the same car. and the jag is based on the LS not the other way around.

a friend of mine had a v-8 .. he loved it but said it drinks gas.

as one poster said before this is not a jag . lincoln developed the platform, and jag just built the s-type off of it .. the v-6 is a ford engine, and the v-8 is a jag engine..

l have a 2002 with the V6. 24mpg hwy - 16 city. Lower ball joints are a big problem - look up the recall. Dealer replacement is $1,500.00. No aftermarket ball joints made. l like the car.
