therse is a hesataion in the ecelationhas new plugs new power packs new valve cover gaskets, thisproblem is with a 2001 lincoln L S 3.9 engine

you need to have the computer scanned on it there may be a sensor going bad on it that will cause that too happen,if so the scan will give you a trouble code for this then you,ll be able to identify it and repair the problem,good luck on it,

Assuming your valve cover gaskets were leaking oil that is why they were replaced (which is a common problem for that year and 2000) you have 8 ignition coils that WILL go bad due to the valve cover problem.. l had this happen to mine replaced 3 out of the 8 and sold the car.. The way you are explaining sounds exactly like what happened with mine.. And mind you it is a recurring problem. Have the ignition coils checked almost guarantee that is the problem.
