My 2000 Lincoln LS seems to be overheating.

The resevoir is full, and there is no leaking. Steam is coming out of the hood on the drivers side. It smells of antifreeze.

Most likely the thermastat is stuck closed. Not sure of the mileage as you didnt state, but if the resivoir is full, and when it cools down, so is the rad tank, follow the upper radiator hose bank to the engine block. Generally the thrermostat is located inside the connection there. Its a cheap fix even if it is not the problem, although it most likely is.

more than likely you have thermostat sticking, make sure it is full of coolant, if it needs a thermostat it is located in front of engine. pull 3 bolts, pull old one out and install new one and new oring...then fill with coolant

this generally indicates that your thermsostat is stuck. it is an easy and cheap fix. like the most expensive one at autozone is like 8 bucks
