How do I replace my 1998 Lincoln continentals driver side mirror

The drivers side mirror is delaminated and has turned completely black. How do l get into the housing to replace the mirror?

Go to an auto parts store and get a repair manual for your vehicle.

you have to take the door panel off

you need to remove the door panel. but be careful the pins like to break after they have been on for a while.

If it is like the one on my 98 MARK VII l ,you simply snap it off of the ball-and socket mounts on the motor. If you buy a new one ,the fittng should become obvious, and mine only cost 300 bucks,with a 20% discount!
