l recently bought a car and the dealer did not provide the keypad code for my car.It is not a big deal since l can still use my car key to open it.But why have it if you can not use it?

Check the trunk area for a little tag with a five digit code. The also placed a tag above the e-brake handle.

If you find it, then all you have to do is use the code. Even if previous owners have changed the code, the factory default code will always work.

Last resort, take to dealer for oil change, ask them to pull the code off the computer. takes about 10 seconds.

The factoty code is found in the trunk on the right side lift support. The factory code can never be deleted. To reset & delete any added codes, key in the 5 digit factory code. Within 5 seconds press the 1/2 button. Within 5 seconds again press the 1/2 button again. All previously added codes r delete. To add ur own code, key in the 5 digit factory code. Within 5 seconds press te 1/2 button. Within 5 seconds again enter ur personal 5 digit code. Note that when u complete these steps, the doors will lock then unlock meaning that the command to add or delete a code is complete. You can add 5 different codes in the memory, but when u complete the delete command, it deletes all added codes but never the factory code.

there are other places to look not all are on the hinge and sometimes trunk lids are replaced or stickers are torn off. If the owners manual came with the car it might still be in there with that stuff sometimes its under the dash in the glove box l have owned over 10 of these Lincolns since they started the code system and l have found the code in several different places.
