you can hear the motor winding but its like the window is stuck in place.
yes the car has been sitting for a long time l purchased it from a friend . no tree juice. i've heard it was the regulator but l hear all 4 windows making a winding noise bit they dont move. one of them went down but wouldnt go up unles l pulled it up manually it was a pain in the *** doing that

Has the car been left sitting for a long time, or has a bunch of tree juice dripped into the window seals and glued them shut?

Maybe you could try to ''help'' the motor open the window by pushing down on the glass at the same time.

You need to take car to a mechanic or a lincoln dealer to have the windows fixed. It sounds as if a piece needs to be replaced. It is expensive. Good luck.

the same thing happen to my continental when l first got two of the windows wouldnt roll down, this was because it had been sitting on the car lot for a long time. Try opening the window by having sombody push the botton and you push down on the window at the same time. the window cold also be ooff track. you can also take one of the door panals off and see what the problem is

Seems like a frozen mechanism to me. Use lots of WD-40 and Grease. You can buy a Spray can of Lithium Grease which will be lot easier then regular paste type grease.

If you are a Tree shade Mechanic type then open it from inside and see if you can move up and down with your hand and switch. l have fixed some real Jammed motors without taking it to a mechanic.

Try spraying WD-40 onto the regulators. This should free it up. PB Blaster will do the trick also.

need new actuator's, it is caused by sand,dust or not lubing windows with silicone grease. dont know your skill level, but have dealership confirm,diagnosis& keep them lubed . every year it is recommended! (want to cheat wd-40 the hell out of the inner locks& outer locks&window felt's&rubber it is abit messy but it can solve your problem) believe me your actuators are among the best linc ever made after 02 they are weak!!! good luck! try it ive had 3 town cars , 96, 98, 03 !!!!

It is in the motors. All 4 of my 94 Town car windows were like that. l went to eBay Motors & bought the regulators for the 2 front windows. That was not the problem. What a pain in the rear to drill all the rivets out, pull the windows out, & replace them, only to find that did not fix it. l had the motor in my hands at one point, too. It is the 3 worn out nylon torque pins located in the motors that r bad. These work by pressing agaist the motor gear & turn the gear in the regulator which turns the cables that roll the windows up & down. l bought two sets on eBay for 5 dollars. It came with instructions to replace the pins, too. You have to take the motor off the regulator(a 1 hr. chore) & pull the gear & press these 3 pins back in. This will fix it if u can still hear ur motor running when u work the window buttons.
