These mark8 is have a volume knob that is a ''PUSH IT'S ON''''PUSH AGAIN IT'S OFF''it stays ONall the time,when l push the volume knob (like the manual sez) it still stays ON. ???HELP

sounds like the switch is bad does it stay on even with the key out of it?if so find the wire that goes from the fuse panel to the radio.undo it & install that wire only to a fuse which when the key is turn off the radio will go off it sounds like they wired so it would play with the key out it just needs to be undone from that fuse & installed where is said it not that hard any repair shop can do it for u if u cant.good luck until u get the radio fixed if u r wanting to fix it .

you are not holding the on/off button in to long are you? you can not hold it you have to push and release right away if you hold it, it goes into speed volume mode. other then that l have no idea other then it has malfunctioned and you will need to replace it.

a piece of plastic is broken from inside the knob that is why does not turns off, l do have the same problem on my Lincoln mark 8 also, it will be cheaper getting an other one than get it fix.
