So this morning the car ran out of gas right as l was heading to the gas station before school. l left it on the street until l got back and l went and got gas, now the recommended octane is 91+ and l used Silver Mid-grade 89 from BP. l usually get Ultimate Premium-grade 93. Now the car seems to idle fine but when l step on the gas it stutters then gets up quick, also when trying to give it gas to get up my driveway it acts as if it is about to stall. Is the lower octane causing this problem or is it something to do with the computer needing to recalculate?

AHH!!! l had this same problem. If this is a V8 that we speak of then you have a recall on all of your engine coils. its a free fix and takes about a day to repair (way too long btw) but you have to take it to a lincoln dealership to cash in on the recall for it too be free. if its a V6 It couldnt hurt you to look into it anyway.
