l dont have an owners manuel and the button pad combintioan is so easy if u just played with it the door will unlock how do l rest that and does the car have anty type of an alarm also how do l set the garage door opener button on the visor

your kidding ,easy to open?/, but the only way to change the code is to replace your module

check with the garage door manufacturer

Under your dash on the blue and gray module will be (probably handwritten) a 5 digit # that is your code. You can have a Lincoln Mercury dealer look it up for you as well, but it is in the car on that control box on a white sticker.

you can not change the original code unless you change out the module. You can add and have more then one code but the original always stays active.

to program the garage door opener push & hold the two out side buttons for 20 seconds until the LED on the transmitter flashes rapidly, then releasing the buttons Once the system is cleared, select & press the button that is to be trained on the HomeLink(R) Universal Transmitter. The LED will flash slowly. While continuing to press the button on the transmitter, hold the original transmitter (e.g., garage door opener) 25-51 mm (1-2'') from the HomeLink(R) Universal Transmitter, then depress the button on the original transmitter. Hold yboth buttons until the LED on the HomeLink(R) Universal Transmitter
begins to flash rapidly. This should take between 1-30 seconds

you will need to change the drivers door mod..to chang the code it is inside the drivers door
