Is there an aftermarket battery for the Lincoln LS

I am afraid that the battery in my ('04) LS is on its last legs, and the cold temperatures seem to be giving it a real workout.

In attempting to price a replacement, I've discovered that none of the local parts stores(Autozone, Napa, Advance Auto, Sears) stock the correct replacement. Since the battery is in the trunk, it needs to have a vent tube, which no one seems to have.

So, it looks like I am stuck buying a Motorcraft replacement from the local dealership at a cost of $110.

Does anyone possibly have a source for another brand replacement? I'd appreciate it very much.

Thanks,
Ben
No Interstate Batteries locations nearby.

Thanks for the response, though

My Mercedes (1934) and my Edsel (1959) also take special batteries. The reason l tell you this is because l just replaced both of them and they cost about $100.00 each and both Pep Boys and Auto Zone. l bought them.

My point is that the Lincoln bettery is only $10.00 more and that seems like a GREAT deal. You are not getting overcharged.

$110 for a motorcraft battery is a fair price. it is not like typical dealer pricing.

Autozone batteries are good, made by Johnson controls, don;t get the gold battery, the silver battery is good.
you can not go wrong with a diehard, l think they're made by interstate..
napa batteries are exide, low quality.
dunno about advance..

you can not go wrong with a motorcraft tho.

l really doubt your battery is going bad l would make sure the terminals are good l have had original equipment Motorcraft batteries last as long as 8 years on several of my new cars since late 1990 is in fact a couple of vehicles l sold after about 7 years with the original battery so l would be surprised if its bad after just 4 to 5 years but anything is possible.
