im not a big fan of american cars yet alone lincoln cuz it has a reputation for making cars for ''old people''. but l really dig the lincoln ls and l am planning on getting one.its a 2002. its has a youthful look to it. how reliable is it?

it is a good car. other than regular maintenance, l have not had to work on any. make sure you get it thoroughly inspected before you buy it.

Lincoln is owned by Ford, and Ford unfortunately has not had a good reputation for quality for a long time. They've recently stepped it up in the last 2 years, but a 2002 is new enough it wo not enter into it is clunks and clinks years for another 8 or so.

If you (and the previous owner) follow(ed) the preventative maintenance schedule as listed in the owner is manual, it should be very reliable up to 150,000 mi for sure (and probably longer.most cars built in the last 10+ years are engineered with a lifespan target of at least 150,000mi if the preventative maintenance schedule is followed).

Lincoln means more added junk to the car, which add to more repairs

As reliable as any 2002 car. The LS is a good car, even though they do not make them any more. The new 2009 Lincoln lineup does not appear to have an ''old people's'' car in it, and l think older folks would feel like a kid again in one of these cool looking Lincolns.

yeah they are good but they waste a lot of gas, new lincoln cars are definitely are not just for old people, may l recommend a mark lt.
