l just bought a 2000 Lincoln Navigator and l noticed that when rolling up or down the drivers window l have to press and release the window button over and over. It will roll up a little then stop. l let go and press again and it goes up a little more then stops. l repeat until l get it up. Also l noticed that a few times l pressed either up or down and the window just goes by itself all the way down or up. If l try to press back up while its on auto down it just takes back off all the way up. So I am lost between the sticking and the going by inself. Can something be making it get stuck or is it more likley the motor going out? Thanks

Try spraying the swiches with some silicone spray and while you are at it, spray the felt window channels that seem to bind and slow the movement. Saturate them so it runs down the channel and the window will glide much easier, too. Hope this easy fix helps.
