It could be the air line is or the air bags you have to deter-mend that first

It sounds like Not the compressor but more likely a leak in an air hose.
Start it and listen to the assorted parts, the compressor and fittings,each shock and fittings.Try to follow the air lines to the shock.
The lines are much more fragile than the compressor.
