I am turning my 1966 Continental into a daily driver. Looking to swap out the Carburetor for a new one for now. Who sells them? l have a 462ci V8 engine.

Also what other things should l swap out or add to make it a better daily driver?

Any good auto parts store will have them, you can get either the standard Autolite or a Holley. I'd go for the Holley the after some tweaking the car will run better and get slightly better gas mileage too.

You can install an aftermarket electronic ignition system that will help too. Remember that car was built back when gasoline was so cheap no body gave a second thought about gas mileage.

Go to your local parts store and ask an knowledgeable person what can be done. They will have access to replacement parts for your car. Do not expect to get good gas mileage as these models typically do not get good mileage.

DON'T BUY A CARBURETOR FROM THE AUTO PARTS STORE BECAUSE YOU WILL NEVER BE HAPPY AND YOU WILL NEVER BE ABEL TO ADJUST IT OUT CORRECTLY.

25 TO 30 YEARS AGO YOU COULD DO THIS AND IT WOULD WORK PERFECTLY BUT TODAY THERE IS NO DEMAND FOR THIS AND THEY DO HAVE QUALIFIED PEOPLE TO REBUILD CARBURETORS, THEY ONLY REPLACE PARTS.

DO SOME SERIOUS RESEARCH AND CHECK ON-LINE AT SOME OF THE LINCOLN FORUMS AND FIND OUT WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND USING.

ANOTHER THOUGH WOULD BE TO CALL A PLACE LIKE SUMMIT RACING AND BEFORE YOU SAY NO, TRY IT AND ASK THEM WHAT THEY WOULD RECOMMEND AND AT LEAST THIS WAY YOU WOULD HAVE A NEW CARBURETOR.
