They both share the Mustang platform, and l think the Interceptor gets up to 350-400 hp, while the MKR gets up to 400-500 hp.
Oh yeah, they will both be in production in 3-5 years. The Interceptor will replace the current Crown Victoria police cruiser.

l am not a huge fan of the MKR, but the Interceptor harkens back to the '65-'79 era sedans that had just spectacular lines. l would not be suprised thoughif those power numbers drop however. Concepts usually have 50-75 more HP and lb. ft. of torque than the production model usually has. But those are amazing looking cars. Makes me happy to be a Ford man.

l will go out on a limb here and say neither will see production. The MKR is something I'd like, and l might buy something like that. But they do not have any intentions at all of making either.

they are ok but l am not overly impressed at all they are becoming dated as we speak they should have been out a year ago. Until a automaker make a fuel efficient car which they could do now l am not impressed.

The MK R might see production as a variant on the upcoming (Spring 08 MK S). The interceptor, with a higher roof line and a bit of a stretch to increase rear legroom would give Ford a Prestige Big LuxoSedan they should have in the 60-70k range if they tricked it out with sunshades, adaptive cruise control, adjustable rear seats, etc. like other LuxoBarges from Europe and Asia.

have not read about them yet but l currently own a 1988 MKVII
LSC and love it. until lincoln comes up with something that will make me take notice l will keep the LSC. so far they have nothing that does that. the ls does not the MKZ does not either.
and besides the LSC has a better exaust note.
