it is sitting on your AC dryer which is typically a aluminum cylinder sitting on the passenger side of your engine bay. the dryer can be black or silver in color

This really is not something you should do yourself. You need to evacuate the system by using the vacuum pump on it, and find and fix the leak so you wo not just be putting freon into the air. But if you insist, and have the tool to recharge it, find the compressor and follow the lines, looking for something that looks like a big tire valve. There are only two, high side and low side. Your recharge tool will not fit on the high side, only the low one. That is how you tell.

its mounted in that area, but l recommend you take it and let a shop do it,because the system needs the correct amount of pressure in it to operate right, and you cant do this without the gages to monitor it with, often enough just adding freon to it will not repair it,and it can lock the compressor up on it in some cases, its better to have this job done, its not very expensive to have this done, good luck on it.

closest to the aluminum condensor canister, or on the canister itself. And btw, the hose will only fit on the right port they are different sizes for a reason.lol

The low side port is located in the A/C line directly above where the tubing mounts to the compressor. Find the compressor and you will find the port.
