l have a lincoln towncar 90 5.0,with a rebuilt engine and transmission I've been slowly replacing other parts of the car that have been giving out. Last week l changed the spark plugs and notice that the last two had a lot of build up and corrosion on them figured thats probably why the car hasnt been giving power like it should. But its been ok since the change. But this afternoon the car took a while to turn on. Does anyone have an idea what it could possibly be?

It could be the spark plug wires, or gas filter or
Air filter make sure those are in good working order, hope this helps.

if your car had black corrosion your valves r going bad if the plug was redish your losing water and if the plug was white you need a hotter plug hope these helps u

Have you ever heard of blowing it out? you take it on a high speed run, preferably in the rain or fog, the moisture in the air helps clean out the carbon built up from to much city driving.

You can not ''blow out'' a fuel injected car & the good it did carbureted cars is debatable. You do need to replace the ignition wires, cap & rotor along with the plugs. The fouled plugs r probably from the fuel injectors delivering too much gas on start & acceleration. This could be caused by a number of things, but a good cleaning of the injectors & the intake would be a good idea.

You can have an induction cleaning done professionally for between $60 & $100 at most CarX & Midas locations. l am sure u can find an even better deal with a non-chain shop. Make sure the shop the proper equipment to do the job with all the components on the car. You will notice a huge difference. Good luck.
