something is wrong with my fuel pump pushrod in the camshaft. l took out the fuel line to the carb and no fuel was coming in. This was the case with the new and old fuel pump. The lobe was not moving when l tried to start it so l assume and also had a mechanic tell me its the fuel pump pushrod. Im assuming, its a heavy job.

Most people are telling me to throw a electric fuel pump with a fuel line running straight to the carb. When l drop some fuel in the carb, it starts right up.

If l do not put a electric fuel pump on there, is fixing the above problem a heavy job? And if l wanna fix it, who has the parts?

Do not know how big of a job it is to fix if its the pump push-rod the mechanic could tell you that but l would not hesitate to put a electric fuel pump on they work great. if you are looking to make this a all original car then you need to get the pump push-rod fix but other wise just go with the electric fuel pump.

You need to replace the fuel pump with a correct 3-port pump, not the two-port junk from the chain stores. All of you '60s Lincoln questions can be answered here http://thelincolnforum.net/phpbb/
