l just recently replaced a fuel pump and a starter solenoid on a 1995 Lincoln Continental.l have good fuel pressure but l can not get it to start again. It has an anti-theft system which may have something to do with why it is not starting. I'd like to know what to do next.l do not have a manual and l can not seem to find the manual either. Is there an electronic ''reset'' procedure to clear the car is brain and perhaps get it started?
The car was driven to where it was worked on.It has not started since (~1 yr).It was believed that the FP was bad.so dropped tank & replaced with new FP.Have good pressure at manifold still no start.Check starter system, found bad solenoid on starter, but starter motor good.Went to starter shop and replaced solenoid.installed but still would not start.Anti-theft light flashes when key is in ignition.Engines does not crank.Something is draining the installed dry cell battery trying to start the vehicle.

There should be a reset button in the trunk, near the gas cap side, you may have to move carpet and/or panels to access it.

Simple little box, 2 wires and a small push button.

There is no need to reset anything after making the repairs u said u did. If u were having a PATS problem, the anti-theft light would be flashing, if all is well, the theft light will go out a few seconds after turning the key on.

Why did u change the selenoid & the fuel pump????
One controls cranking the other makes it run????

Make sure u have the right selenoid, just because they look the same does not mean they r the same on the inside! Make sure u hooked up both little wires (ohhhhh shit!! the new one did not have TWO little wires terminals did it)

Donate some money to ur favorite charity.

Crankshaft position sensor. If the car will crank but wo not start, that is what it is.
