where is the fuse box on 1988 lincoln town car

Stop by any car parts place and ask to see a vehicle maintenance manual for your car. The info you need is in there. You can buy the book or if you ask they may let you look inside without buying it.

There are probably two. One to the left of the steering column just where the dash board stops, and one under the hood on the left side of the engine compartment. This one may look like a black box about 5 inches long or more and 4 inched wide. Under the cover will be the map of the fuse amperages and what they control. The fuse box inside the car will also have a map on the cover, with numbers by each fuse. These are sequence numbers not amperages.

On my 1990 Town Car, one is located just below the steering wheel (controls interior functions like lighting, cigar lighters, horn, etc) on the bottom of the dash just above the emergency brake, & the other is the main fuse box (controls things like ignition, headlamps, keyless entry, etc) is located just above the battery. This one says ''Power Distribution Box'' There is a map guide located on the inside of the casings; however, there is more detail listed in ur instruction manual. Including which fuse controls what. This will help u figure out which fuse could be causing ur problem.
