Where is is the air compressor located and are there any special things l should know.

each suspension has it own air compressor
just replace it with a new one, plug and play,
must have very good tools to do it, if you have change some other suspension is an easy task if you do not have the experience go for the shop

should be under front by fenderwell shut off air suspension and battary and pop out lines by pussing lock clip in and pulling lines out l would mak sure that you have power going to pump befor replacing it because l had relays go bad if pump dont run

YOUR AIR COMPRESSOR BEING BAD WOULD NOT DEFLATE YOUR SUSPENSION. THE COMPRESSOR AIRS IT UP THAT'S ALL. WHEN YOU SHUT OFF THE TRUCK AND CLOSE ALL DOORS THAT SIGNALS THE SYSTEM TO LEVEL THE VIHICLE SOMETHING MUST HAVE WENT WRONG IN THE SYSTEM THAT IT DEFLATED THE TRUCK. YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THE AIR BAGS KEEP AIR AS LONG AS YOU DON'T HAVE ANY LEAKS SO THE VEHICLE SHOULD NEVER, EVER LOSE AIR UNLESS THERE IS A LEAK OR THE SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONS. SO BEFORE YOU CHANGE OUT THE COMPRESSOR YOU MIGHT WANT TO FIND OUT WHY IT DEFLATED.

You should have a ''check air ride'' indicator showing. Does the compressor come on when you start the car? It could be a relay. If you are bottomed out you also have a leak in the system, because even if the compressor or relay fails, if the system is holding air it will lower but not totally deflate.

The next step would be checking ride height sensors, etc. Parts are available at Arnott Industries and other internet sites for tons less than dealers. Good luck.

My best answer is to have ur Navagator diagnosised by ur local dealership. With a defalted system, it can be difficult to accurately diagnosis.
Compressors can fail & the system will lower over a period of few key cycles. If the compressor would fail to come on, the solenoid at each air bag is opened & the system can leak.
Most causes for a compressor not comming on the a compressor electronic relay. It can be accessed from under the front passenger fender.
