Why does the child safety locks on my 2001 Lincoln Navigator enable on it's own even after I disable it? HELP?

The thing is, one of the doors is completely screwed!! The other door can be used from the inside a couple of times and then the child lock will enable itself again. l tested the door just to see what was going on and everytime l open and close the door l could see the latch creeping back to the lock mode. My fathers Expedition used to do the same thing but l have not found any recalls on either car. l do not know what to do. This is no fault of mine so maybe they will fix it for free. Someone help me!!! Is there anyone else out there that have had a similar problem or know of someone that has??

why do not you just tape it or glue so that it stays in the disabled mode l hope that helps

Something is wrong because my 01 navigator door locks work fine. Sounds cheap but put a toothpick in there to hold it to the position you want
