Lincoln '91 shudders a little from time to time

When l drive over, say 30mph, l feel the car shudder a little from time to time, especially when driving uphill l think... l can feel this through the pedal and the especially the steering wheel... any expert who knows what this is?

It,s probably torque converter shutter.We had a bullitin back then.Replace the transmission fluid

The converter l agree, there is an additive called ''shudder stop'' that will cure it but if the fluid has 25k miles on it it is shot time for service.
