OH MY GOD l had the priveledge to test drive a 2001 modelso sweet whats your experience with the car ,reliable?

im saving for a used 2000-2001 car and l want a first hand review thanksit will take me about 4months to buy one like the one l would like so thanks for your experience

l had one a while back. The only real problem l had was with the air sack in the back. It leaked and the rear sat too low. Cost over $700. (about 7 years ago) to fix it. Other than that it was really a great ride. Really smooth. l am sure they have worked the air thing out by now. Good luck with your car.

ahhhh u have the LS grin. haha join the club. l have a 2002 lincoln LS v8 & its a great ride for the money better than a bmw or benzs. try this look at the owners reivews

what sold me was a state trooper that said ''if he had to catch it he did not think he could'' & another guy that said '' it feels like it rides on rails on turns''
the car is amazing.. i've always pushed other cars & they say ''thats it '' but this car l have not found its limit.. in turns, in speed (125 mph so far ) & in the ride. its the best american made car in years. & they stopped making it.
the gas mileage is'nt so great & the truck is small but l did'nt buy it for that.. l brought it for the engine & the ride. u will go nuts haha
in some ways people will think that its a old mans car but when u get in it & fly off of a light & dust them '' old this motherf*ckers!!!!'' haha yeah!!!! i've done that many a time & on the highways the same thing. from 0 to 125 mph shes solid like a rock the whole way!!!! she does what u tell her to do sharp!!!!. haha

The TSBs r the most common problems a vehicle has that havent been recalled.
The v8 ls seems to be more reliable then the v6. The maintenance costs r about average for an mid luxury car, its still a ford, & the quality of materials used will be of a lower quality & will require extra care.
The only thing that l question is wether youre goin gto get a good deal on it. The 'value in class' translates into someone selling u a overpriced car.

For the 1st poster- LS is do not have airshocks, so maybe you had something else!
l am driving a 2005 V8 sport these days and it is an awesome car, infact l do not think there is a better luxury sport sedan for the price. The closest is the 540i, and the LS pretty much dusts it.
