There is alot of coolant leaking out the muffler, the people l bought it from must have put some holes in the muffler to let it leak out,Did they trick me??? l do not know but l am very pissed off.l leaks pretty good and I am not for sure If l should try to sue them....Obviously they should have known if it is leaking as much as it is...but they did not tell me anything.should l sue them

The 3.8L V6 engine of around the '94 to '95 model year vintage has to be Ford is WORST engine for head gasket failure. If the leakage is to that extent, ur engine may be done. The typical failure points on that particular engine were the corner of the gaskets on cylinders #3 & #4. The replacement gasket set from Ford is F5PZ-6051-BB which includes ALL the gaskets & new head bolts needed for the repair. The cost of the kit itself from Ford is not expensive, but the labour could be pricey depending on who u choose to do the repair. The most expensive item with a high propensity for failure on that particular car is the air suspension system as well. Sorry, but u r better off to cut ur losses, & buy a Town Car. It is rear wheel drive, & V8 powered. But more importantly, a much more reliable car than the Continental, assuming that is the model of car u r now referring to in ur question.

How fast is the radiator going down? How often do you have to fill it. If the rad level is ok, and you are in a colder climate, what you are seeing may be normal. Exhaust gases on newer cars contain a high level of water due to properly working emission systems. In colder temps, the water condenses in the pipes and muffler and drips out the tailpipe and the bleeder hole in the muffler. Up where l am, both my cars can fill up a glass with water in 15 minutes.

You maybe junping the gun here talking about suing u may want to get some facts like it was pointed out is ur coolent level droping because what u r experincing may not be coolent. You did not say what type of Lincoln u have so do not know if u have the one with the 3.8 which is known for bad caskets. Oh & as far as suing, well in my state u the buyer is responsible for ur purchases meaning u should have them checked out before buying its ur responsibility to do that.
