Looking for info on when Ford will have low beam headlight bulbs for a 1996 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC

A Sylvania HID-9500 was the original equipment bulb. Sylvania stopped production. Had to pay $ 883.34 to a dealer in Georgia to replace a bulb just so l could drive home. Another one has burned out now and dealer can not get bulb or an entire headlight assembly which includes the bulb(what l bought in Ga.) Part is obsolete.Junk yard bulbs(unknown life expectancy), Ebay sellers want $ 650.00 for a bulb and conversion kits will bastardize an otherwise showroom new car. Ford/Lincoln customer service is of no help and could care less about not being able to drive at night. Seems bizzare that Ford has allowed this to happen or that there is not some regulation that would demand that a manufacturer keep a part available( especially a part that is high mortality and does burn out). Dealer was nice enough to print out a page from his parts catalog showing the part as obsolete, so l could show that to the Police when l get stopped for an equipment violation. Do not think that will help much!!
