It happens when driving on the hwy Its usually a nice smooth ride until all of a sudden it feels like your drivng over rumble strips. It last for maybe 2 or 3 seconds and stops. l think it only happens when imaccelerating between 80 to 120 km/hr.

Engine missing, probably one of the coil packs

you need to ake it to the dealer to have the computer reprogrammed . the shudder is coming from your transmission . l was looking into buying an 00 with the same problem and the sales guy said he will have it fixed before he sold it to me .if it aint that they may need to replace a solenoid in the transmission

Transmission fluid either never been changed or has the wrong fluid in it have the trans flushed at a Lincoln dealer so that the right fluid is replaced and that should take care of the problem.

There is a bulletin on your car its trans problem,the problem is if they will consider this as a recall,

usually they will only change the trans oil and add some additives, and program the computer,the worst thing is if this doest work,{sometimes] Not covered under warranty,,,,,,
they will have to change you re torque converter at least its covered by warranty as long as you still have the minimum mileage as stated on your warranty book
