only time the smoke accures is fast take off or hard mash on excelerator. in the morning no smoke accures on the first start or when just idling for 15 mins no smoke. what could it be l am 198839 miles done. what is that? embarsing for cry out loud please help with this solution. thanks my buddies

sounds like valve seals & or piston rings. fairly normal for those cars with high millege. nothing to worry about just keep checking the oil level to make sure it dose not get to low.

try using some high millege engine oil by penzoil or valvaline they have an ingredient that swells the gaskets to help seal them back up again.

l would not worry to much about it. but if u keep this car on the road a lot l would probably plan on a motor rebuild in the next 50000 miles to keep it from using to much oil.

It is a common issue with the 4.6 Liter passenger cars(T/c,Crown Vic,and Grand Marquis).The problem lies within the intake manifold.Carbor deposits build-up,and when u accelerate from a stop,you probably see that plume of smoke.If u take the car to a service center,an tech can do a Fuel injection & intake clean. l do believe that 95-96 model years use a plactic intake,so find a good shop. l have the same thing on my 93 Town Car,but my 96 Mark IIIV does not smoke,again the 4.6 Liter ''W'' code cars its a given,but the 4.6 Dual cam motors(Stang is & Mark series) don't.Other than that,there r not major issues,and enjoy the ride.Good luck.
