If it is the V6 then the gas mileage would be ''comparable'' to an Accord but will probably still be higher (meaning worse), if it is the V8 then it will definitely be worse gas mileage then an Accord. That being said l owned a 2000 LS for about two years and believe l averaged around 17-19 City and 21-23 Hwy with the V8.

As far as a better buy - It is going to depend on how much you're paying for the car.
