Where would I find a economical carburetor for a 1982 Lincoln Town Car

You realize it has a throttle body fuel injection system not just a regular basic carburetor. Your best bet is the salvage yards some 1980 and all 1981 thru 1985 Lincoln Town cars and Mark series had the throttle body injection and some Mercury and Fords did to so it really should not be that hard to find.

Check your local junk yard, sometimes there are vehicles that were either wrecked or something other than the carberator is wrong, and you could have them take one out for you. l did that with my car and it works great.

What do you mean by economical, fuel economy or price? Best fuel economy would most likely be a 650 two barrel Holley/Motorcraft. Most economical price would be a local junk yard/Internet search. May have to rebuild a used one, so add about $40 for a rebuild kit. By the way the 650 Holley 2bbl was a replacement carb for the Variable Venturi Carb, that one was a real Ford 'Innovation'
