Anyone here own, or used to own, or knows someone who drives a MARK VIIl ?Are they a pain, or do you think these cars have possibilities?They look nice and sleek, and the engine is a 300 HP V8 stock, and l hear you can mod them to gain a lot more HP.

SO , do you think they are recommendable for a fast cheap used car?

l drive a markVII l everyday. it is, in my opinion, a great auto. if it has air ride suspension, change it with the aftermarket kit to a standard (spring) suspension. there are a lot of markVII l fan sites out there. check 'em out!

l have worked on them. Man do these cars fly. l really like them.

My good buddy has owned 2. He sold his first one -- traded it for a Lexus. Said it was the biggest mistake. He sold the Lexus and bought another Mark VIII. They are awesome! Many of the mods for Mustang Mack 1s are compatible with the 4.6L in the Mark VII. Enjoy!

Excellent car and if you find a real nice one that has been kept up the air suspension should be find l would not change it out like someone recommended its part of the characteristic of the car it automatically lowers on the highway. l owned one for 6 years nices car l ever owned never had a problem.

l do love the Mark VII l Lincolns(prettier than the earlier Mark VIIs), they are super cars and l am actually an old School 70s-80s Cadillac fan! yes if you are thinging about it get yourself a nice one. l have driven one and they have some real grunt under that bonnet/hood ( we say bonnet in the U.K)

very nice looking and driving car the only drawback is the gas prices like they are . unless you have alot if extra money l might look into the gas mileage situation

Yes, l have a 98 -the last year of production ,Purchased the car at 75 000 kms -3 years old - it is a pearl in colour with white leather a real looker - woman love the look of this car.
l have spent about $ 6000 on the car ,now having 255000 kms, l see it as average in terms of repairs ,however the parts r expensive.
over all l love the car & here is the best part !.. l have never had to add any oil to the engine between oil changes !
