If it is the heater core you are referring to, the instrument panel has to be removed, to enable access to the heater box assembly.

l losen the instrument panel on the right side, and after l remove the screws that hold the heater core box, l fight and pull it out, l do not remove the instrument panel
|

Its very time consuming you have to remove everything on the right side of the dash. The dash board, glove box many wires and some vacuum lines so take your time lay things out so you can get them put back together, good luck.
