replaced thermostat. did not work. Trying to get radiator off. not enough room between motor and front of car to get fans off to get to radiator. What should l do?
Already checked all those things. Ca not get the fans off to get to the radiator is the problem.

before you trying to replace the radiator,find out what cause the engine overheat.it could be the radiator fan module is not working,waterpump propeller is broken,coolant leak from hoses,or leak headgasket. the most common thing on Continental is a bad radiator fan module and if your car get so hot,headgasket will leak too

Before replacing the radiator.

1. Make sure the cooling fans r turning on. (Are they?) If not ur fan motors may be burned out or possibly a fan relay problem.
2. Make sure ur water pump is working & moving water.
3. Make sure u do not have a blown head gasket. (Check for water in oil or oil in water. l am assuming you're not seeing large amounts of smoke out the tail pipe.

If u truly believe the radiator is clogged & is causing ur problems, the only thing to do is remove the fan & get the radiator out.

l assume it is a 4.6L if so check for a coolant leak behind the alternator where it bolts to the intake manifold they are made of plastic and almost all of them cracked from vibration. Was a factory recall for cops, the civilians did not get paid for it till a class action lawsuit.

It may be a real pain to do. But you need to take off the front end to get to the radiator

Engines usually overheat because of lack of coolant.
If your engine is a 3.8L it maybe your head gaskets.

Get the service manual that comes on a CD it will tell you how to get the fans out but l would take HSUEH010 advice first then after that take it to a garage and let them do it.

if it is the radiator well they are a bad one to get out, you have to take off a lot to get it out they have been known to have waterpump issues, that will leak to the inside of the motor, or you have a head gasket out
