If like all the ones that l have done on Lincolns is only two small bolts holding it on with an electrical wire connector on one end. There is a gasket with two holes in it that goes between the valve assembly & the intake body. Make sure that the old gasket is all removed & that the surfaces r clean when u install. do not need any sealer on this, just clean gasket surface. After install make sure engine runs decent & then get on the road & make sure that u get over 40 miles an hour as that speed sets the computer idle mode. Once that is done will usually keep a good steady idle. If that idle control is ur problem that is. :-)
