How do you know it's time to buy a new car

when the cost of maintenance and repairs each month would be higher than car payments.

or

when your car was totalled in an accident.

If you are starting to have to do a lot of repairs - Its time.

When you are accepting to spend the money towards a new car.

When is costs more money to keep it running than the car is worth.

when your old one falls apart and dies then l beieve its time!

When you are putting more money into repairs than a new car payment would cost..or if you can never depend on the car to get you where you are going.

If you drive a Ford Or Chrysler Product!!

when the one you have costs more to maintain than buying a new one that has a warranty.

my car has been running on three cylinders( its a four) for months, the lights go out when you turn on the indicators, the oil is used up every two weeks or so, and it putters around.. definately time to buy a new one

when you do not have one

When your old one wo not start or if there is not enough room to haul your things or your family.

I'd say.. when you are fed up with old one. Dah! Life is short to refuse yourself some indulgences

When you're sick of the one you have right now.

When your old one is broken.

You will know, you have much to weigh out, do you like the car ? can you afford a newer car? are the repairs something you can do yourself?
If the car is in good shape other then a few minor problems or one somewhat major problem then you should have no reason to get rid of it.
$1000. in repairs is far cheaper then $5000. in payments and higher insurance rates.

If you have to ask this question it`s probably time for a new ride!Just remember a good car should have a yearly maintaince cost of between 1500-2000.

TOM: It is simple. A car has been driven into the ground when the amount of money it requires to be roadworthy exceeds the amount you're willing to spend. So either the car WON'T go, or it is not SAFE for it to go anymore, & u do not want to pay the minimum necessary to keep it on the road. Then u reluctantly take the plates off it, pay somebody to tow it away, & consider the car ''driven into the ground.''
