car is a 94 lincoln continental no tranny fluid in the the trans leaked out. l know l can not drive it like that but would it hert the tranny if engines started in park or N.

Yes it is bad. Even with the tranny in park or neutral, the torque converter turns on the flywheel, parts in the tranny are moving, pumping and with no fluid or low fluid this causes wear.

nope, you can fill it, and under 15 drive it to your mechanic for repairs. fords are tricky.
