l have already replaced badly rusted front calipers and rotors and had new break pads for all four wheels. I am replacing rear calipers and rotors next. Air suspension is still in good condition although l have no idea how much it is going to cost me once it starts acting up (knock on wood). Should l invest in a coil spring conversion kit this early or should l just maintain and/or repair the air suspension to retain the Lincoln-esque ride of the Mark VII. Lastly, l noticed some rust on the paint surface although it is not so bad yet. Is there any way for me to retard the spread of rust to other portions of the car?

Its a great car, gas mileage not bad. You will have to replace the 4 air springs. They are not to expensive because thay are separate from the struts, unlike the Continental.
